At Last!
Well this is the post I've been waiting to make, literally, for years. I've been lurking on this forum since probably 2008. In the interim I bought a Pontiac GTO, which I loved and was a perfect "starter" muscle car for me. I would still have it today were it not for a girl I had the displeasure of meeting, who enjoys texting more than driving and decided to rear-end me.
Yesterday I purchased a 2006 C6 Coupe. Monterey Red w/ Black interior, 6 speed manual, 22k miles. Pretty well optioned, has the HUD, heated seats, both glass and body color tops, Z51. I am very satisfied with the price I paid for the car because it is EXACTLY what i was looking for. I am 26 and single, this will be my daily driver. I want to try and get as much fun in as possible while I am young and dont have to be practical. So yes it will get rained on and the odometer will slowly tick upwards, but thats fine with me!
Im sure I will have many questions for the forum as I drive the car more. This is just my opening post. Pics will follow shortly.

The first time you get in your OWN Corvette is a feeling you will never forget! You may never be the same again....
Congrats on your awesome purchase. I have an '06 Z51 just like you. Your option package is 3LT - same as mine. Mine is Victory Red....ENJOY
(don't forget to wave)

I am very sorry for your loss, but welcome aboard! You may be wondering what loss I am referring to? Well, its simple, Its the loss of your desire to own another type of car for a while. Your loss of subjective car comparisons, as many wont give you that same feeling of your first vette. Your loss of thousands of dollars, as you do like the rest of us and spend more money on it, upgrading things that are perfectly fine! Enjoy!!
I am saying this unbiased, as I got my first one before I was 21, and am now on number six.

Monterey Red is awsome, and sounds like you got the options you wanted. Their isn't anything more dangerous on the road than a girl texting while driving, and no way to protect yourself from them. Wish you better luck with your new baby!
