Just curious if anyone has used the new product by ArmorAll. It is a spray on protective against paint chips, etc. It got a good review in Hot Rod Magazine.
They say spray on your hood, bumper, etc. more coats the better and it peels off easily when ready to do so.
Also says it is weather resistant, sounds like it could be worth a try, the cost is $14.99 a can.
An inexpensive alternative for protection on road trips?
It does look good, Dave, and similar to what I've seen here of Plasti-Dip. My only question is why only in black? Seems like they might have been able to come up with clear or other colors. Then again, they are not a paint company so maybe it's not cost effective to do so for them. And yes, I'd say for trips it might provide at least some protection, maybe more with more coats of it, too.

It is offered in Black, White, and Satin Clear at least that is what the review says. Also you should put up to 7 coats of it on, offers the protection and easier to remove.
Custom shield comes in Clear, White or Black. The clear is great for protection during road trips ect. The other two colors also will protect or you can use them for racing stripes, racing numbers or other decor that you want to remove later. The Armor All website has a good video on how the stuff works and how to apply it. I have used it successfully. The thicker it is applied, the easier it is to remove later even though it lasts up to 90 days.
Ok so I gave it a try today. I used an entire can and am not sure if it is thick enough when I go to remove it. It may be a PIA when I do remove it in a couple weeks. I applied it to protect the nose when at the road course next Saturday. The over spray does come off fairly easily when you rub aggressively with a microfiber towel.
