Yup, lowered on stock bolts, stock run flats on 18/19 repros. The fronts are 18x9.5 though which stretches the stock tire just a bit. I'm going to a widebooty with Z06 sized tires all around this year.

I have never been a fan of black rims, no matter what car/ what color. It could be a deep rooted issue with the fact that my first sports car, was a white 91 rs camaro with white rims....but Polished is the way to go. I do have to say that I'm a huge fan of the old craigers with the dark grey aluminum 5 spoke that is textured...but all black? looks stupid to me. My good friend always has black rims...on any car he has and just loves them. To each their own I guess...but when it comes to the c5, and c6 stock polished rims...I think they look great!

If you want black rims just clean yours, go by some plasti dip spray, and black um up.

That way when you realized it looks better polished, your only out 20 bucks and you can have fun peeling the crap off :P

I see lots of thin skinned politically correct people on this board that refuse to accept others opinions if it differs from their own. I'm really tired of the "old man"bashing or that chrome is out and black is in. I'll take chrome over black any day. I'm not old I'm 50!! Lol

As the thread starter, I have noticed that too! I was merely asking for opinions whether one likes black rims or not. There is no need for people to get their shorts in a wad! We all have our opinions and tastes! Who's better looking.....Mary Ann or Ginger?

i had a set of GS wheels with new tires so i had them sprayed black and put them on my Z06 and i got tons of compliments...i like both chrome and black but i bought a Carbon that came with black wheels and I think it would look just wrong with chrome!

Love the posts comparing which types of wheels were purchased by people in the 1960s. I really hope in 50 years I'm not holding on the the 'good ol' days' like half the posters on here.

And for the record I don't like Red, so it would be Mary Ann, but only if she is a blonde, because, I have found Brunettes to be a little crazy, although I did Marry a really crazy blonde once, but she wasn't a real blonde, later found out she bleached her hair so was a brunette in disguise....

Cars with black wheels look like stripper taxicabs. Don't care if it's a Corvette, Rolls-Royce or a Ferrari . . . It just looks terrible. In my own opinion, there's no faster way to ruin a car's looks than to put black wheels on it.

Now, having said that, it's your car, do what you like. That's how J.C. Whitney sold catalogs full of crap for all those years . . . SOMEBODY thought it looked good!

I cannot think of any other sports/performance car that comes available today with chrome wheels, except for the corvette...why, because old guys buy vettes and they buy them with chrome. Thats the way it is....
