2012 steering wheel install - help needed!

In the middle of changing my 2006 ZO6 steering wheel to the new 2012 steering wheel and just found out that the clips need to be changed from the old steering wheel to the new one. Apparently the new 2012 clip that attaches to the one coming from the steering column does not work together.

The 2006 wheel has a big black connector and the new 2012 wheel has a smaller white connector that will not work with the stock black connector in the car.

Has anyone done this?

I did the swap for my 06. All you have to do is switch over the innerds from your old wheel to the 12 one.

do a search on 05 to 06 steering wheel swap. The 06 uses one type of clockspring and the 07 up uses another. Very good write up with pics from the forum member who made the tutorial.
