UGH-another tire thread (sorry.....)
OK....looking into new tires and making tread wear a consideration since the goodyears are spent (with my DD hard) in 10K miles....at tread wear of 220. Looked at other tires (run flats only) all season and couldn't find many but did find Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP Ultra High Performance All-Season and they listed a tread wear of 500 (AA A).....someone on another thread said that is rock solid and I am not sure what that means for daily driving....and performance.....and are there other tires out there (run flats) that I am overlooking (NOT tracking car) that have a substantially higher tread wear rating?

If these are going on a C6 the michelin is a great choice. It has a 22,500 mile tread wear warranty and as the A/S says, is an all season tire. I run them(just put them on last week) and so far I love them.

Any and all info is appreciated.....
Is it a GS ????? If you get a tire with a 500 treadware rating it is not going to grip as well as a tire with a 220 rating.
I have the Michelin A/S runflats on my rear and I'm not real impressed with the traction. Anytime it's cold out (40-60) they seem to break loose half or 2/3 of the way through 1st gear unless I'm careful. Just know that there IS a big difference in grip. I just got beat by an awd Bentley Continental up to about 70mph because I couldn't get the rear end under control, it was about 45 degrees out
I just had a set of four Michelin Pilot Sport A/S run flats installed on my '05 coupe with Z51 and they're great. They replaced the OEM Goodyear Supercars. The Michelins are much quieter and seem to provide a smoother ride. I only have around 500 miles on them so I can't yet comment on wear. As for grip, I haven't had any problems but I haven't really put them to much of a test yet.

Oh I'm SO sorry to hear that. Not sure I'd admit that. (Jk). Thanks for the info.
I noticed the treadwear rating is up to 300 from 220 on my new '13 with GY Supercars. Should equate to 20,000 miles, as I just made 200 short of 15,000 on the rears of my '06. Don't really like the runflats, but they do serve a purpose.
As said prior, a tread wear rating of 500 is not going to stick worth a damn! In cold weather you could easily kill yourself. Really sticky tires have a rating of around 60, so what do you think a 500 rating is...yep, like grease on a baking sheet!!!

100%
Had the Michelin Pilot® Sport A/S Plus ZP run flats on my last vette convert and they were great in all conditions, much quieter than the GY's and with 25,000 miles on them they still looked nearly new. Would be an excellent choice for a daily driver. Grip was good in both cold conditions around freezing in the mountains and hot 100+ desert conditions.
Coming back from Vegas I got caught in a very hard downpour for about 100 miles at freeway speeds and they were no problem at all, hardly noticed the extremely wet roads at all.
My 2007 convert only has 8k miles on it but when it comes time to replace the GY's I will go with the AS ZP's again for sure.

+2, I have 4500 miles on mine and they are great. But there's a bigger question here, what type of driver are you? In all my miles, I've never broken the tires but I'm relatively conservative. I like to have fun but I'm not John Force going from here to there. If you're a hot rodder than go for the sticky 220 tread wear tires but if you're lookin' for a good all around tire that you'll get some miles out of you can't go wrong with the Michelin's. Remember, you're still driving a Vette and no matter what tires you're on you're still faster that 90% of the cars around you!
