Car says it does not recongize {fob}. Cannot get in car. Key does not work in rear either. Battery is on charge. Thanks for any help! Glen
Assuming you have the correct FOB...spray WD40 on the key and into the lock. Then insert the key and carefully work it back and forth with more pressure each time till the trunk pops open. Then you can locate the pull to open the door. Good luck.
Actually try to find spray graphite to loosen up the lock. Just had a similar issue. Doors locked and fob didn't work. Opened trunk, pulled cable alarm went off. Alarm stopped, car didn't want to start. Put charger on, finally got car started. Next day ,same thing. I thought I better get a battery. Finally replaced battery in the fob. That was the problem.

Oh nooooooo ...............
Better to be locked out than locked in. Nothing worse than having to break a window to get out ................ With the cargo hatch open ...................

You will not be locked in. There are emergency door release handles located on the floor at each door. Everyone needs to know where these handles are located, in an accident electrical power could not be available and if you have to get out fast this is the only way.

well, it is almost April 1, so I guess the poster meant, take out key from fob and insert it in the door lock on the door....
but seriously, folks, cclive Chris, had a whole thread/tutorial on taking out both of our keys in the fob and trying them out many times to "loosen up" the lock. it is so true.
OP, it will feel like either the lock is stuck or the key will break. neither will happen if you keep pushing on the key. this assumes of course that this IS the key for your car. the key and lock the first few times are extremely stiff to the point of feeling like it will never work and you will break the key. keep working it esp. with some form of lubricant/penetrant.
