I have a 2010 2LT Cyber Gray Corvette. I love it and have around 6,000 miles on it.. Did some minor mods like Z51 Sways, Bilstein Shocks, Drilled and Slotted rotors and Ceramic Brake Pads. Perfect set up for me..
Picked up my "base" 2013 a week ago friday. Last friday, had the Bullets installed. A-6 that now sounds as good as my M-6 '06 I traded in. Love the car, and the paddle shifters give much of the fun of a manual without the jerky, low speed shifts you get with the clutch. Only 2600 "base" coupes made in 2013MY. Big improvement inside over the '06; outside, same sportscar look.
I would say that a base model is just that a 1LT without and options and that would mean a 6 speed manual gear box. If there are any RPO codes in the glove box you technically would not have a true base model. I really wonder if there are any true base model C6's out there.
I've got a 2011 Canadian base model (1SA) if that counts. The only option it had was the chrome wheel package. It has been the perfect platform for modifications (Corsa exhaust, MGW shifter, Pfadt suspension)...now I'm debating whether to spring for a supercharger kit and keep it for a few years or trade it in on a more up-level C7 in the near future.
