Whould the BCM cause my brake lights to stay on and cruise to stop working . The chevy dealer ship hasnt been able to pinpoint the prob w/out just plugging parts ?
Yes "possible" to both. But the BCM isn't the only possible cause. IMO if your dealership simply wants to throw parts at it......get them to put in writing that "IF" a new BCM doesn't fix the problem they will remove it and not charge you for it. Probably a tough thing to accomplish but at the least they will know you aren't just going to roll over and open your wallet. Best of luck.
I haven't had problem w/t getting them to put in writing but I don't have much confidence in our local dealership and there mechanics, being in an rural area I don't have many dealerships around nor people who are familiar w/t corvettes . This is my first vett and has been fine except after driving a long distance w/t the cruise on it goes off and the brake lights stay on . Once they reset the computer everything back to normal for a while , and then it happens again . I am looking for info for any one has herd or has had any issues like this before.

This might cause the brake lights to be ON all the time. And that'd keep the cruise control disengaged.
I've never seen nor serviced a brake switch... maybe someone with experience will chime in.
Anyway, a new BCM wouldn't be my first guess.
I would check this first as well. You may have enough slack in the pedal that you can take your foot behind the pedl and pull it toward you and see if the brake lights go out.
Otherwise crawl down into the foot well and jiggle the brake switch around and see if that helps. If it does then adjust accordingly.
