The dealer from whom I bought my C6 last month only had cars with chrome wheels. I really didn't want them at first, preferring the stock powdercoated variety, but there was no choice. Buy one of their cars 35 miles away or from the next-nearest big Vette dealer 600 miles away.
Since then they've grown on me. I was concerned that this much bling against the background of a black car with almost no chrome at all would be too much and out of place. Not so, and I now think it was the best wheel option for this car. My friends all agree, BTW.
Love the bottom rims but cleaning them may be a pain .
That's exactly what I'm thinking too. Since black wheels are fugly (deal with it black wheel lovers!), I am considering those when I wear out my tires and change out my GS wheels. I like the chrome, I'm just really in love with the thin 5 spoke at the moment. Perhaps they will grow on me since tires are new and it will probably be 3 years until I need tires and have an opportunity to change the wheels.
