Wanted to get some feed back about trying to shield my new battery from engine heat. Looked at the various battery boxes that various forum vendors seem to have. Most appear to be cosmetic only just to finish off your engine compartment with Carbon Fiber or painted to match the car.
Most are at most 3 sided, with some just 2 sides. I get it that one has to make accommodations for the cables. And no, I don't really want to relocated the battery to solve the heat problem even though that is the best solution.
Not particularly fond of the idea of metal ones, given the possibility of shorts and just transferring the heat.
What have you found that is functional? Linky please!

indulge me for a second because i'm no mechanic and i don't race or anything that would produce excessive heat, but all us base vette owners have the battery in the same spot and i have never heard of a heat problem with the battery. What's the deal?
