I am not one to down talk someones choices...before I bought my vette, I was a member here learning. As soon as I got it the first night on the drive home from Sacramento I brought the Owners manual in to the motel room for reading. Learn as much as you can about the cars you drive. Unless it is covered under warranty I would not bring it to a dealer. FYI a bulb change someone at Auto Zone would have done it for you for nothing that is if you allow someone else to maintain your vehicle.

If they didn't crack your rocker panels in the process by first putting it on a lift to remove the wheel so they could find the access panel, consider yourself lucky.
Took a little trip out of state. Service active handling system light comes on followed by check engine light a few minutes later. Car was running rough. It's 2 in the morning.I thought probably a sensor or worse. Took it to a chevy dealer. Shorted out plug wire, #5 cylinder. 234 dollars.
I do not mind paying $49 to the dealer for a bulb change considering the fact that the assess points on the Corvette is tight and you have to take the tires off to reach them..jacking is also another reason I do not want to touch it nor will I let a none trained Corvette guy work on it period. I knew coming into ownership that I got to pay to play...IJS
