Is there a way to turn off the automatic headlight function and be able to turn them on and off like a regular car? I turn the headlight switch to off but it spring loads back to auto. Anyone?

What? Are you some kind of undercover spy?. The basic answer is no, but go here for ways to defeat the system: http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...p/t-68470.html

The headlights don't come on until it's sufficiently dark outside to warrant their use. When it gets to that point, why wouldn't you want the headlights to be on?

the DRLs stay on if you leave the switch set to "auto"...if the car is garaged, likely the headlights come on also
when you first start the car, but will turn off when the car is outside during the day (bright sunlight).

If you turn the switch to "off" while the car is running, the lights go off and won't come back on automatically...
this sequence re-sets when the car is turned off.

I just leave mine set to "auto."

Everytime I get in I always switch the running lights off. It's like a habit.
