No bugs here yet in SW orlando. But it's best to be prepared. Mix up whatever car wash soap you use into a small spray bottle. Put that and a clean MF towel in one of the storage bins. Whenever you park, get the bottle and towel and just wipe off any bugs that may be on the front. Takes about 60 seconds.
Oh yea, I remember these wonderful creatures. They covered the front of my old GTO on a trip across the Bee Line quite a few years ago. As one older gentleman from Florida said, "Just glad they don't bite".
If you don't have one, I suggest the front cover from GM. I have one, and it fits perfectly. No flap, no noise, and no problem if it gets wet.
I know not everyone will like this.......but I have a 2 step process. Light travel...... a little WD40 before the trip sure makes clean up a snap at any "quarter" car wash. I've also been know to carry saran wrap....... put it over the front......don't block the air flow, get to your location and peel it off........ done. Repeat for the trip home.
Yep sure does not look the best but what bra does and the saran wrap won't scratch your paint like ANY bra will eventually.
I use the saran wrap too, no love bugs in the Daytona/Orflando area, as of yesterday.
