Default hatch touch pad switch:UPDATE
Thanks to members of CF and the tech info, I accessed that switch through the left passenger taillight, cleaned it, still no worky. Ordered new switch, installed same way, VICTORY.

I've cleaned mine successfully a couple of times.
It's a flawed design.
I hope the C7 has a better switch.

I installed tape over the button as was suggested here a few years ago and have never had an issue. My door pads have needed cleaning but not the hatch button.
