Curb alert warning system
Install for both took about an hour (both are in same location and use same ground screw).
I got both items from Southern Car Parts, great service, quick shipping and good prices.
Considering the price of the splitter on the 427 the Curb Alert seemed like a no brainer, good insurance.
If you park a Corvette, you NEED Curb Alert!

Super investment.
It could be done without this set-up and switched by a simple toggle but you do have to run wires to do it.

If you buy the curb alert form anyone else, it comes as a standard universal kit. We offer the universal kit but also sell kits pre configured for specific vehicles, such as the Corvette C5 and C6. Everything is pre-crimped with the correct connectors and will plug right into your fuse box under the passenger floor board.
We also have installation videos on the site and on Youtube that show how to install and calibrate correctly.
Although lots of vendors are selling the Curb Alert and the outside of the box looks the same, we are the only ones that have taken the time to customize the Curb Alert for your vehicle.
If you have a Mild2Wild, not a problem at all. With our setup you can plug the Curb Alert into any other fuse location on your fuse box. Simply choose any other 20amp or less fuse in the fuse panel, remove it, plug the curb alert into that spot, remove the 10amp fuse on the curb alert, and plug the fuse you removed from the fuse panel into location where you removed the 10amp fuse from the Curb Alert.
Everything will work just as it did before except now the Curb Alert will also have power.
More info here...and yes, shipping is free....

When I got my ’13 I read about the curb alert and decided to try it because it was cheaper then replacing the ZR-1 chin splitter.
Installation is very straight forward and simple. Calibration is another story. In my case it took more tries that I would have thought. After several e-mails and phone calls with Southern Car Parts I was able to get it calibrated.
That was 10 months ago and now it appears that I need to recalibrate it again as it’s started it incessant alerting on almost any white line or shadow.
One thing to remember: it’s only as good as the driver. If you ignore it, it’s not going to work. I know from experience as I was driving my ’13 one day when I should have stayed home in bed when I was under the weather and didn’t pay attention to the alert when I drove into a curb – total damage: $400 to repaint the splitter. It could have been more if I had broken it.
Would I do it again? Why not it’s cheap insurance but remember to pay attention.
