Default Removal of inspection sticker

Whats the best way to remove an inspection sticker from the inside of the windshield? Bought my car out of state and have to get rid of 2 stickers. Maybe a hair dryer? Thanks.

Heat 'em up and scrape them off, then use Goo-Be-Gone to remove any remaining adheasive.

Default Remove sticker

First use a razor blade to remove what you can.
Then put a little WD40 on a rag to get rid of the remaining glue.
Get a clean paper towel to remove most of the WD40.
Last use a car polish to remove the last of the WD40 residue.
Works and I have done it several times.
I have not noticed any damage to the inside of the windshield from using a razor blade, but not saying it could not happen.

Unless you have some windshield that is non-factory, I believe you may be mistaken or mislead. The only thing that comes close to what you are describing are cars equipped from the factory with Heads Up Display. On those cars there is an approx 6"x 6" area of the windshield, directly in front of the driver, which has a special film for enhanced viewing of the HUD. But even in that case the film is sandwiched between the 2 layers of windshield glass. To the best of my knowledge there is no other case of a plastic coating on the inside or outside of the windshield

PS: You haven't been playing with the Saran Wrap again have you . . . . .

WHAT!-

I had a 05 Z51 Vert and HUD and since 07 a 07 Z06 with HUD and scrape my windshield for stickers every year NO problems. Come to think of it I have used the same razor scraper since the 70s on dozens of cars (including 3 C3 Vettes) trucks with no problems

Some Volkswagons and old mid 80's Cadilacs are the only ones I know of that have a coating and cant be scraped with a razor blade. Scrape it off and clean up the glue.

I can just see the guys at the end of the inspection line getting out the hair drier and goo gone to remove the old sticker from your Vette and you standing there saying "DON'T SCRATCH THE PLASTIC!!" This is a joke, right?
