Default Racing seat issues

I wanted to swap out the stock seats for racing ones. But from doing some research it seems the airbag could be a big problem. My car is a daily driver, is there anything that works for this or should it just be left alone? Its not so important that I do the swap if I will have problems after the install.
Thanks!

You can get a plug to override the airbag or lack there of.
Talk to Caravaggio about it. He also makes a great seat for your application.

1. Lots of folks have successfully installed aftermarket seats in a C6. It's all about the details:

2. Why do you want racing seats for a daily driver? Read this:

3. For street-only use...

#5 from CO above is esp. true! you can get a "racing" seat from several hundred, to several thousand dollars. and if OP is talking about still having all airbags functional after putting in new seats for a DD, I'll have to read all the threads to see if that's possible/done.

I have a race seat that I swap in before I go to the track. For everything else, I use my stock seat. It's about a 10 minute swap including the harness. If the lack of an airbag with the race seat really bothered me, I simply wouldn't race.

Thanks for the compliment! I wanted them for my daily driver that I occasionally track, but I will have to read the threads you listed. Thank you for taking the time to post the links!

Well, guess I can't get seats. I had seat covers from cover king when I first got the car but after a year and a half the Alabama sun faded the covers (before I got the liner for my transparent top). Maybe I will get seat covers again, far cheaper than aftermarket seats and it was pretty comfortable and I got a lot of compliments on the seats. Funny thing is since I took the covers off I have had ZERO compliments on the the grey leather seats. Pretty funny!

I find that the c6 stock seat are very top notch as far as comfort and support, I have a racing cobra race seat that can compare to in my turbo Mini Cooper. Unless you're a track junker I wouldn't put it in a DD.
