Since I first got the Vette I thought
the E brake rested too high. Not
really more flat, in level with the
console.
Anyone else notice this?
Possible to adjust it downward?
Thx ahead.
Yeah, I thought it was too high, but in fact it makes it easier to grab, so getting used to it is OK with me. It takes so much effort to get my old body in and out of the car that I can use all the ease I can get!

plus you can get around the corners easier ,just grab and pull then off and back on the gas weeeeeeeee
I've noticed the same thing, it bugs me, & I'd like to lower it. I've seen pics of the handle & it's just stamped steel. It wouldn't be difficult to bend or lower it without critically weakening it & it's on my to-do list.
Please keep us informed as to how you make out with that mod - photos too ??
All I know is that every time I take my dad in the car, he uses it for a handhold while I'm driving. Take a turn a little faster than he's accustom to and "ding, ding, ding"...."uh....Pop....you can't keep pulling on that thing!"

Hey - he's your Pop. Either slow down so he doesn't need to hang on otherwise anything in the entire interior is fair game for him to grab onto.

You know of the ratcheting seatbelt feature, right? And it's on both driver and passenger. Pull the seatbelt all the way out, and it ratchets as it goes in, preventing you from moving... until you unlatch it, which resets it. Hope this helps .
And yes, I'd like the parking brake handle lower too, but it doesn't bother me anymore. In fact, when I had the console out to adjust the shifter box, didn't even pay attention if something can be done easily.

While I'd love to take credit for "impressing" him with my "advanced high speed driving skills", that just isn't the case in this situation. He's just as likely to use the grab bar (er....parking brake) while I'm crawling over the speed bumps in the office parking lot. Bong, bong, bong....everytime I'm thinking the car's broke or I'm low on fuel!
Although, I was surprised to get the call to pick him up after surgery on his broken wrist. I told him I had the Vette, and the ride home won't be quite as smooth as his Lexus. Now that I think back, we crawled all the way home, and he managed to pull the brake a couple of times on that trip too!
