I'm in the process and would like to see how you did yours. I'm not crazy about the fit directly behind the lens and plan to sink them below the inner piece, which is smoked.

sure let me go get some recent ones its a nice day

i pushed the halos as deep in the housing as they would go

the trick is not messing up the lens when you heat them up to take them apart, luckily i found two others at work with broken tabs so they were perfect to use a test units

luckily i havent spent no where near what most would have. i was a tech at a speed shop, then parts dept manager at corvettes of houston for about 2 years and now sales/marketing director at 510 race engineering. so i did all the labor on the car and alot of the parts were smoking deals from vendors, traded or even free. ive been very fortunate. lots of right place right time situations.

id say i spent about 1/3 of retail on the parts and since i installed everything i didnt pay for any labor just a few beers and some dr. pepper

all the parts i have on my car are exactly what i would have if i wasnt in the industry and had to pay full retail and labor everything i have is from the best vendors available the car is a blast to drive handles like a slot car yet still rides soft enough to drive everyday without rattling my teeth out

Just as an FYI, I have had two Oracle LED rings fail.

I have determined the cause is due to the LEDs becoming loose on the ring. The ring, being circular, and the tail light being more oval shaped puts a stress on the ring and loosens the LED light connection.

It's not the whole ring, it's sections. I can squeeze the lights between my fingers that are out and they come on, then another set will go out.

Not happy ....

Right now I'm planning on returning them.

You are aware that the warranty requires that you send in the failed part first for testing and confirmation of the failure, before you get another.... I sent them an email with the light assembled and showed them the failure, they never contacted me, I had to call and disassemble the part and send it in. At this point they haven't all been installed so I'm not sure I want to go this route. Pretty much a hassle if the lights are sealed for installation and then have to be taken apart when they fail.
