I would be very interested to hear or see if anyone has or is going to do this. Honestly, I have worked in a body shop many moons ago and have always done all my detailing on my rides. However, slapping this on the front end of my own C6 might give me the *******!
ArmorAll makes a similar product called Custom Shield. Spray on in either black, white or satin clear for $15.00 per can. Received a good review in Hot Rod Magazine.
We are leaving next Tuesday on a 3000 mile road trip through Idaho/southern Utah/eastern California/central Oregon..
I'm going to try this 3M stuff on my Grand Sport, picking it up today. Since I already have a couple of small nicks (23,000 miles) I don't want to spend many hundred$ having a clear bra professionally installed.
Please report back ASAP as I am scheduled to lay out $1600 on Wednesday for 3M clear bra install on my 427....I realize it can't be the same protection but would be very interested to know how detectable it is once installed and if it enhances the shine and eliminate swirl marks... This product could be an installers nightmare if this stuff is good!
A few of the guys in the Z club Im in have this and they absolutely love it. I've seen nothing but glowing reviews. Just make sure you follow the directions and tape off everything that you dont want the overspray on. Ill def be spraying my black c6 before I go on my honey moon with it. If nothing else maybe it will make bug removal easier.

I doubt I will get it on by Wednesday.. I am taking the car tomorrow, to have the Michelin PSS's installed and a PFADT alignment done. The weather isn't supposed to be that great for the next couple of days, the directions say install above 65*, and we will be in the low 60's.. Also, they also say to park in direct sunlight after install to fully cure the film...
I bought 2 cans at $24.99 each, and the handy little spray nozzle, another $5... they also sell a "kit" consisting of plastic sheeting and blue painter's tape for $12...I passed on that as I already had some..
I am planning to do the front bumper and fenders, about 18" of the hood, mirrors, and the areas around the rear tires, and the gill slits..
What does it look like after fully cured. I noticed the video was careful NOT to show a close up of the finished product in comparison to the uncoated area. This kind of concerns me.
But using temporarily for an extended trip might be useful. Then the removal.
