I have a iPhone 4s that will not connect to the bluetooth of my 2011 base corvette 3lt. Chevrolet's bluetooth guide tells me my 4s would work with a 2013, 2010 or 2009. Any clues as to why the 11 and 12 are excluded? Has anyone had any luck connecting a 4s to a 2011 (non-Nav)? Thank you for any help.
I have an iPhone5, and works fine on my '12 GS. Before you say 'pair', put the phone on Bluetooth mode. And just wait for the phone to ask you for the code; it takes longer than on other cars. Remember Bluetooth on this car is crap . Good luck.

Thank you. That is exactly what I tried but it eventually times out and indicates that no bluetooth device is found. At least I know it works with a '12. It shouldn't make any difference. I can't imagine the system changed much year over year.

It's far better in our 2009 C6 than in my wife's 2011 Toyota Camry.
I have an '11 GS and late last year I got a letter from Chevrolet saying that there was an update for my Bluetooth available and I needed to contact OnStar to get it, I don't subscribe to OnStar. So I pressed the OnStar button and told them I needed the update for my Bluetooth and they set up a temporary account for me for 30 days and gave me the update. Maybe this will help you.

Thank you, I will try that. The car has to go in soon anyway.
One other minor suggestion - when you press the button on the steering wheel to get into the bluetooth mode, you need to hold it in for several seconds. This is true when answering calls on a bluetooth phone, as well. Otherwise, you are interacting with the OnStar phone.
BTW - my iPhone 4S worked fine in my '09 Z06 and works in my 427 now.

Reception is fine, but it's crap in every other way. Can't dial. No NAV interface to see contacts, initiate calls, etc. Mine basically just works to receive calls. And having to hold the darn button 3 seconds to answer the phone sucks too. Thankfully, I don't like to talk while driving, so no biggie. But when I have to make a quick call, having to pull over to dial from the phone sucks. This system is completely unacceptable in a $70K+ car, especially in 2012. But yes, I know how cheap GM is, which didn't want to update the damn nav after 5 years (when Bluetooth came out), even when it was already absolete in 2005. Oh well.
You are correct about the dialing and phone list issues on the C6.
OTOH, my wife's Toyota Bluetooth won't pick up her Iphone 4S about 50% of the time, getting into the phone and phone list is complicated, and every few months the system simply deletes her phone.
In other words, our C6 system is very limited but works well within its limits, the Toyota system should be great but keeps screwing up.

It took me several tries my first time, when I got a replacement it wasn't as frustrating 2012 GS and 4s iPhone.
My IPhone 4S works well with my 2012 C6 base coupe. Though you do have to hold the button down for a few seconds to make a call or to answer the phone...
