Default DRL Indicator Behavior

For the first year of driving my Z06 the DRL/Parking lamp indicator in the instrument panel would come on and stay on whenever I was driving the car. (I always leave the headlamp switch to AUTO.)

Recently the indicator only comes on if I set the headlamp switch to the Park or On position, or if I turn the fog lights on. I have verified that the DRL's are coming on, it's just that the indicator doesn't come on.

Has anyone else experienced this? How is the indicator light supposed to work?

There is no indicator for the DRLs. The two green indicators are for headlights and fog lights. I don't know what you were seeing during your first year of ownership; I suspect it was your headlight indicator and that your stalk was in the "on" position.

I agree with Mike, and I wish that there was an indicator for the DRLs because I like them off and sometimes I forget to turn them off when I start the car.
