Here it is...just arrived two short hours ago all the way from the SF bay area.
Actually dropped-off at a nearby mall park n ride lot to accomadate the large Intercity truck, I drove it a few miles back home where it sits in the garage for now. Taxes (ouch!!!), license and registration next plus a NY state safety inspection to be street legal for some long awaited driving.
Quick impressions:
Interior fit like a glove. Much more than past cars, 911, Mustang, Challenger, 300zx, this car sounds and feels like a race car. Not that Ive ever been in real race car before, but you really do sit close to the road as others have mentioned. Secondly, the ride was better then I imagined it would be. Still firm, but not unbearable or jarring. I managed to avoid the major pot holes at least. This z06 does not have the magnetic ride conrol system, so I was expecting the worst!
So that's it. Fun to drive, great to look at. A big thanks to Intercity driver Andy, and of course Tim Boone at boardwalk chevrolet, both CF vendors. Thanks to all you fellow CF folks for the words of encouragement when this car seemed to be lost forever in the chevy pipeline. Not only did it reappear, it came back to make its major debut today, my first view of the no longer missing z06!

Thank you one and all for your patience...it was easier then I thought!
So I once was blind and but now I see, another corvette picture, for you and me'
and as columbo would say, oh, and one more thing...
my admission to this forum that I have NEVER stepped into a corvette before, driver or passenger. What a thrill. If you are sitting on a fence with the do I get or not get this car, I think this ride is definitely worth the money spent, IMHO. Now I can more clearly see what the comotion (sp?) is about...thanks corvette forum!!!
