I got my car today and it was better than expected. It's a Crystal red, 08 coupe with NNP, Two tone, 3lt, Polished wheels, HUD, heated seats, NPP, magnetic ride, 6spd, new Michelins A/S SPorts, etc. I'm coming from a 2011 BMW 335D. The BMW is a turbo diesel and has 400lbs of torque and is super comfy to drive.
A few quick observations after a day of driving locally and on the Highway.
1. The drive tunnel didn't get hot. It was around 80 today and it was midly warm. Maybe after a 3-4 hour trip it will get hot but after around 50 miles it was just fine.
2. The car is as quiet as the convertible I test drove. It was a tad noiser than the BMW. I wasn't hearing road noise but the growl of the engine so that is not a bad thing. The wife and I were able to play the radio and have a relaxing conversation. I bougt the Mild to Wild and it's very cool but I prefer a quiet car. For around town it's fun to open the pipes.
3. The car rides nice in tour mode. It didn't smooth out the bumps as well as my 335d but it performed very well for a sports car. I have no complains in this area. Time will tell.
4. Steering and handeling were excellent. I did notice some wheel hop on heavy accelaration. I approached all driveways on an angle with no scraping.
5. The Bose sound system is lousy to bad. I like good audio but for some this system would be adequate.
6. I didn't experience and squeaks or creaks. I quickly put on the solid top and got rid of the hot house top. It was too hot for my tastes.
7. I thought the seats were just OK. Not in the same league as my BMW or the Audi I use to have. There were many adjustments and the memory function is cool.
That it for now. Overall the C6 is a beautiful car and drives nicely. The interior's fit and finish isn't too bad. I just wish the would have padded the center console.
Thanks - the car has 21k. I did notice that in sports mode there wasn't any wheel hop so that is good. Took the car out for a late night ride. Damn car is fast and fun to drive. The 6spd is silky smooth. I bought the car from a dealer. It was a trade-in from a forum member. It was his wife's car. The body is flawless. I couldn't find one scratch or ding. There might be a few chips in the hood but I didn't see them. Too excited to enjoy the car. I have the original sticker too. The only negative on the car was that the seats were dirty. The dealer was suppose to clean them but not a big deal. I bought the car sight unseen. I had the car delivered by Intercity. They are excellent. I wouldn't use anyone else. Anyway, I get the car and am excited. I haven't even driven the car and decided to do my first MOD which was a mild to wild remote. I install it as instructed. Now I go to start the car and lose power to everything. I had to use the manual handle to get out. I call the M2W guys and he tells me it was probably the remote in my FOB. This doesn't make sense. Then I call the dealer and he tells me the alarm might have cut power to the car. He tell me to wait an hour. I'm dying. I come back after 20 minutes and call back to tell him the security/alarm light is off. He then tells me about how the car battery drains when not left in reverse. This is pure stupidity. The car should have 0 drain. The battery is pretty new too. I jump the car and back in business. Yikes.
Unfortunately, it was confirmed by the service manager at the dealer that I purchased the car from. The car probably sat 2 months on the dealer's lot and a few days on the delivery truck. It was enough to drain the battery which is about 6 months to a 1 years old. Although, if you do a search on this some dealers are saying that it's not true while others are adamant about putting the car in reverse before exiting.

...adamant about putting the car in reverse before exiting...
This was only true for the 2005 model year. Absolutely not necessary with an '08. These cars occasionally have electrical gremlins, and honestly the drain is never "0". Hopefully, it is just that it sat for a long time, and the battery needs replaced, even though it is supposedly new. Pull it out and have it tested. I'm sure it is nothing major. Just a PIA at the moment. Sounds like a beautiful car.
