Default Entry - Exit Lighting help please

Okay, I have an issue with the Entry/Exit lighting in my car. It's a 2007 coupe. Before, when I opened the doors, the lights in the footwell, rear compartment, and on the mirror would turn on. Now, only the lights in the footwell turn on. I can turn the lights under the mirror on if pressing the manual button, so I know they work. The lights in the rear cargo also will turn on when opening the trunk. However, I can't get them to turn on when opening the door.

In my manual on page 173 it says that "You can turn exit and entry lighting off by quickly turning the courtesy lamps on and off", but this didn't resolve the issue. However, I can still only get the lights in the footwell to turn on when opening the door. I already searched the forums and didn't find anything but hopefully I just missed it. I can't figure this out...any ideas?

Food for thought-

There are three ways to turn on the map lights:

Open a door
Push and release instrument lights switch on panel
Push and release each map light switch on the mirror

That leaves several possible combinations of getting a switch in the wrong position. And they will also time out after 10 minutes, but the next operation should cancel that time out.

Try experimenting with different combinations and see if that helps.

BTW, on our 2009 (and I think our previous 2006), opening a door does not turn on the trunk lights. Must open the trunk to do that.
