Tire question
I need two front tires for my '09.
Can I put two Michelin's up front and keep the Goodyears on back for a while?

Yes. I have 2 Goodyear on the front and 2 Michelin's on the back. No problem.

Never have done the mix thing. I'd wait for some more forum responses just to be sure.

Putting different brand tires on different axles, especially on a RWD car, won't cause any problems.

Theoretically it should be fine. I have never done it to the Vette, but I tried to on my BMW Z-4 and it drove so bad you could barely keep it on the road. Added the other 2 tires so I had a matched set and cured the problem.

I think you'll be just fine. Get what you can out of the rears before you buy new ones.

As long as you don't drive at 8/10's or above, there should be no problem.

Since my GS had only 1,500 miles on it, I have had Nitto Invo's on the front, and the stickier Nitto NT05s on the rear.
Same manufacturer, but certainly different tires (in tread design and composition)
No problems at all.

I'm not the police either and I agree w. the above. Of course, 8/10ths driving (or above that level) could also be considered an accident about to happen, or evasive driving to try and avoid one. You decide.
