Cleaned both touch door pads today. Driver door pad works fine but passenger door doesn't open from outside or inside. Must use the manual release to open. All I did was clean the pads and re-install. The red light near the pad does flash when I press the pad.

Strange, might actully be 'bad'.
Had you issues prompting your cleaning them both?
A new one (~$15) may be the solution given you cleaned 'em, already.
It may be the solenoid that actually unlatches the door. If the LED is on then that makes me think the squeeze pad is OK. Also, the inside button should still work if the outside squeeze is bad.

You can try that but I doubt it does any more than putting a pound of carrots behind the seat. The computers in the car are not like your desk computer. Any needed "reboot" is done by the car based on time. Disconnecting the battery does nothing as far as the computers are concerned.
As cclive indicated, your issue is the solenoid or solenoid wiring or door module, not the pads. The light flashing means the car knows you have pressed the pad and want in. Flashing rather than solid also means the door is unlocked and ready to open. Does the window index? If not I would be looking at wiring. If it does I would bet solenoid. Try lubricating first.
Dumb question but you DID unplug the pads before cleaning, didn't you? If not you could have fried something with static electricity.
I'll try to swap the touchpads and see what happens. If the pad is good then I guess it's the solenoid like you said. The door panel removal is a p.i.t.a. Is there a fuse somewhere?

You don't need to remove the door panel for any of this.
Switched the touch pads and found the touch pad was the problem. Before that I disconnected the battery but no change. So I opened the bad touchpad again and scraped the contacts clean with a small screwdriver. Installed it again and it worked perfectly. I must of left a film on the contacts the first time preventing a good contact. Anyways, I'm happy now and want to thank all who tried to help.
