Just wondering...
Is that really an '08? Seems to me that those wheels were used from '05-'07, the steering wheel had radio controls by '08 and the guy could have swapped out the LS2 engine covers for the LS3 ones.

Well I guess I am going to offer a different opinion. The place selling the car is Contemporary Corvette which is the largest Corvette salvage dealer in the country. They only bought cars that had low level water damage. They didn't buy any thing that had water up on the seats. They replaced the BCM, Fuse Box, dash wiring, front carpet, and seat tracks. This isn't like the whole car was under water.
One of my friends bought a 08 loaded convertible from them for half of what a good one is worth. He has been driving the car for months with Zero problems.
A flood car isn't for everybody and yes it has a salvage title and is worth 1/2 of a good one. For somebody who wants a C6 and is going to keep it for a long time the risk maybe worth it. When that car is going down the road nobody knows if it was a salvage car or a non-salvage car it just looks like a C6 Corvette.

I have read about enough mystery electrical gremlins in C6's that cause owners to pull their hair out to know that if a C6 has been in more than 1 ft of water I wouldn't pay more than $2 plus shipping. Run away.

There's a world of difference between a salvage title and a reconstructed title, as least in AZ. Even though I have 109K miles on my '08, the 61K on this car is still considered high by most on this forum. I'd guess this will sell for around $18K.

Forty years of used car biz experience here.
You can take my advice if you wish.
The reason it is sold "as is" is because even they won't stand behind the car. Not for one minute. Not for one day. Not for one month. That alone should tell you to BEWARE!!!
Can you afford to throw away the money if it dumps tomorrow on your way home? If you can afford that kind of loss, look for a nice one.
A Corvette should not be bought on the cheap. It should be a car you can take pride of ownership in. I don't think you are going to get that with a totaled car.
You should be able to find many MM6-C6 for the money you are wanting to spend.
I wouldn't want that car for any money. It is just a problem looking for a place to happen. Don't let it be in your garage.

Melting Slicks
I'd pass it up as fast as I could. Nothing but trouble and already 62k miles. You'll be putting more into it than you wanted to spend in the first place.
Your choice. Good luck!

Pro and Con. It's still sell-able at some price. I'm betting they are 20ish on it. Without going over it very closely, I wouldn't buy it sight unseen. There was a Orange Car that just sold on ebay this week for $21k that was also Wet.

Car is not a good deal regardless since a good 08 is only 10k higher than their current bid. I don't care who rebuilt it or how high the water got. Seller won't give any warranty so who knows what is wrong.
