I installed Gorilla locks on both of my C6's. I figure 20 difficult locks is a bigger deterrent than 4. My car is always garaged at night or on base with me and I have full view of it from my shop. It's the overnight stays on the road or at shows that I got the locks for.

mine was also in the rear cubby hole. if you don't get a key i suggest you buy another set and have a tire store switch them around for you. i like the idea of the locks. not that i ever park the car out of my line of sight.
[QUOTE=Don-Vette;1584061415]When did they start putting locks on? My '10 GS didn't have them. I put a set on myself. Never heard of GM putting them on from the factory.[/QUOTE/]
Probably put on as a preventative measure and dealer inadvertently forgot to remove them. Slime regularly attempts to steal wheels & tires on dealer lots. Tires / wheels are fenced easily and bad guys know (smaller) property crimes are not vigorously pursued by city or county attorneys.
You don't have to buy or do anything.
1. The car did not come with locks from the factory.
2 You did not put these locks on.
3. It's the dealer's responsibility to either give you a key or get rid of the locks that they put on. End of story.
Gorilla brand is from Taiwan - will have rusting issues, peeling chrome and their discolored surface finishes - its problem are all over the web.
McGard is U.S. made - lifetime warranty if rusted, no questions ask. My '05 has their locks and not a speck of rust on the lock keyway edges - and I am surrounded by Pacific salt air 24/7 - because of that, I took advantage their "Free Shipping + Lower Price" offer and purchased a set of their wheel lug last Christmas.
I agree gorilla locks are the best. I have 5 locks on each wheel and when a thief see's that many he knows he will destroy the wheel trying to get it off which will do him no good. So he probably just leaves.
20 Gorilla locks are all about taking time and making noise getting them off. Time & noise will make most thieves look elsewhere. The more people that don't use them, the safer my wheels are!

These are what I have on my GS. Ever little bit helps.

I had a chance to try and remove the McGaurd wheel locks yesterday, I used a 3/4 socket and was surprised that I did not really have to bang the hell out of it to grab the lock, using 1/2 drive pry bar locks they came right off less than 2 minutes per wheel .The hard part was beating the lug out of the socket to do the next wheel. The reason I did not go back to dealer was I did not want to drive 90 miles each way to have there shlub beat my rims with a 4lb hand slege. Thanks to all for advise

You never mentioned that on your postings. How did you know that was McGard lock?
Do you know, if you take digital picture of the lock pattern, email it to McGard customer service, they could send you a replacement for $15 shipped?
