last week we were we were in saint louis looking for a new restaurant to try and we were parked looking at a particular one (farmhous) and were undecided when this lady who looked to be in her middle 60's came out of a small office and my wife asked her if the restaurant was any good and she replied she has never been there but it was always busy. (we are still in car)she was looking at our car(2011 g.s.)and made the comment this is one of the new ones and said she used to own a vet.i asked when and she said "it was a 67 blue convertible with a black top"i then ask her what motor did it have and she replied"it was a 427 390 horsepower, with a four speed and it would lay a scratch a block long!"i just busted out laughing..............i asked what happened to the car and she said it got stolen and never saw it again...i told her to go buy a new one
sounded like she knew more than some of the guy's here on the forum. i had the exact same car back in 72. sold it to get married, should have sold her and kept the 67. unbelievable what the car is going for today. anyway, great tale.
i live in springfield il.brother in law lives in saint charles.she also said her stolen plate keep turning up on other cars breaking the law and the police hassled her about it ......
