I recently purchased my first corvette c6! 2006 with 69,900 miles on it!
I just wanted to ask some general questions such as how reliable are the LS2 motors? How much does a full service cost including changing the brake pads and such? Where can I buy wheels and tires together ( not looking for something for the top!). It has an exhaust right now but I'm not sure what it is and im debating on whether I should purchase a Corsa catback or spend the rest of my money on interior/exterior mods ( I really want iPod/iPhone controls! for I need to purchase a head unit.)
I think that's it for now. Just wanted to check in!
Welcome, there are several great forum vendors to check out for whatever mods you are looking for. Often they will post special deals for the forum, and usually have the lowest prices around, check them out!
Insurance is actually not very bad at all like most people would think. When I added mine on as a 3rd car it barely made any difference really.
congrats on the purchase. As for upkeep it really depends on if you do the work yourself or take it to someone, even with taking it to someone it should be about the same if not a slight bit more as a standard car. You'll also have better gas mileage that alot of cars out on the road with plenty of horse power to go with it. Again, Congrats!
Just saw your in San Diego, there's some high end cars out there... for you I'll say you're faster than 70%
Haha thats awesome, where did you spot me?

Thank you, and yeah i'm surprised with my gas milage! 34 MPG yesterday which is better than my V6 2012 camaro! I will be taking it to a dealership for service.

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the forum.
There is a lot on this forum about mods, read up and you will learn a lot.
The LS2 is a very reliable engine.
Instead of buying a new head unit, you can install an adapter to connect your iPhone, you won't have the controls on the head unit but you can listen to your tunes.
Best of luck.
