Tacky? No. But for me, they don't do a lot to enhance the looks. I would say it is a personal decision, with no right or wrong.

I just got the $10 caliper painting kit and did mine by hand. I don't care for the covers.

The covers remind me of the entire "Ricer" isle at Pep Boys. Painting them is not that difficult...as long as you take your time it will look great.

Good choice going with the paint VS "cuvvers". Even the lowly C6 calipers look better in color.

You can have them powder coated for $280 from Mike the Corvette pilot. With new zinc coated slotted or drilled rotors for $180 shipped your car will look awesome. Those two things really made a huge difference

I agree with all the other responses..but no one mentioned the problem with caliper covers.

They cannot take the extreme heat, and will block heat dissipation from the brakes!

Always Paint never EVER cover.

In the infamous words of Sarah Palin, "You betcha."

That goes along with tail lamp louvers and any other tacky crap you see in the various magazines for these cars.

YES! They look like they came from the J.C. Whitney catalog. Who buys these? Paint or powder coat!

Yesss... I have Caliper Covers! They were on my car when I bought it. They are Big an kinda Cheesy looking. As soon as I have room in the garage to get my car inside (too many motorcycles in there now) I think I'll take them off and paint the calipers. (My Fiat 500 came with painted calipers.)

And yet, the Fiat did not come with caliper covers.....
