Default Interior questions!

Hi all,

Im looking to buy a couple interior pieces and I have some questions. Help would be amazing!

is this center console lid softer than the stock lt1 lid?
Is the quality that much better?
http://www.corvettemods.com/Corvette...GM_p_6787.html

Do these aftermarket leather armrests look cheap/tacky?
http://www.corvettemods.com/C6-Corve...ed_p_5514.html

Do these leather door pulls really add a nice look and touch? Are they easy to install?
http://www.performancecorvettes.com/...es-OEM-GM.html

Thanks guys!

That console lid does not specify any padding. With only one picture, it is hard to tell, but I wouldn't bet that its going to be any more comfortable than stock.

On the other hand if you look at DSV's (Down South Vettes) console lid; they advertise it as padded, and there is a pic in one of the threads here showing the difference.

LINK!

For Q#2, I think the door armrests look tacky and would rather put that money toward a full door panel replacement.

For Q#3, they look better than the armrests, but for the most part, see Q#2.

This is the example of the crème de la crème of door panels, coming in at over $2000 I believe. I would think you could find local shops that will make your doors look better than those two items for a $1000 maybe?

Hi

Both of our product offerings provide increase comfort with more padding. We have sold 100's over the years to forum vendors, most of which have posted pictures in various threads. No need to drop thousands in order to add some style!

You'll love them, guaranteed!

The best console lid out there is DSV IMO.

I like these door pulls. I have been
online with the vender, who insists
they are bolt on. I can find no way
to verify that and others here have
said the door panels must come off
to install these pulls. fwiw.

Bolt on simply means they bolt to the factory mounting points....which those do. It does not mean there is no dis-assembly required to access the mounting points. Example....new cylinder heads are considered "Bolt-on"....but there's a hell of a lot of work involved to do that.

IMO - It's all in the application

I just recently added leather door pulls and armrests to my 2005 vert ... While I agree It's not as nice as full leather door panels... but I wouldn't call it "tacky" either

How difficult to install?:

A 2 year old could install the armrests .... the door pulls are a little harder.

the door pull installation is about as difficult as replacing a set of door speakers.

Meaning: If you have enough skills to replace a set of door speakers, you can install these yourself. If removing a door panel scares you, this might not be a DIY job for you.

And ... Yes .... The door panels have to be removed to access the screws for the door pulls.

My problem with removing the door panels
is that of creating an issue.

Some have had issues with the upper
clips and reinstall. Just don't want to
muck up my new car, yet...

If I could find a vid or something,
it probably wouldn't scare me that
much.

Above pics look great!

it's not a very difficult job. I did mine in about 2 hours, easy. Have a couple of extra clips on hand, in case you break some on removal.

This link may help you----the hardest part of the job is getting the panels back on. I wish I had read this before I did mine...
