My 2001 Z06 came with locking lugnuts in a sealed package with the vehicle from GM which the selling dealer installed on the vehicle and then placed the original standard lugnuts in the used package in the glovebox. My 2013 Corvette came with locking lugnuts installed but no sign of the 4 original lugnuts anywhere. Are these locking lugnuts installed by the dealer at vehicle prep time, and if so should the regular lugnut be included with the new vehicle? Mine were not included with my Corvette and I'm trying to get them from the dealer, anyone have a GM p/n for 2013 Corvette lugnuts with base wheels?
There was a GM plastic accessory pack in the glovebox that contained the key/socket to remove the locking lugnuts, and it had a GM part number on it. Maybe my dealer was trying to help me secure the wheels, but I had a problem years ago with getting a wheel off that had a locking lugnut on it and haven't used them since. Thanks for the info guys.
My black wheels came with chrome locking lug nuts from dealer. I replaced them with black ones from West Coast Corvettes. All the lug nuts have the same shape with matching lug wrench. So it's not just one lock per wheel, if this makes any sense.

I wasn't clear. Yes, GM brands a locking lugnut set that dealers sell. What I should have said is the Corvette does not come from the factory with locking lugnuts. Some dealers replace the factory supplied lugnuts with a locking set and some use a GM branded set.
You are correct to not want locking lugnuts on your car unless you routinely park in areas where thieves abound. They are far more trouble to you than they are to determined thieves or even a tire shop that regularly removes them with no key.
The locking lugnut plastic package was in my glovebox and contained only the key to the locking lugnuts. Original lugnuts should have been in the package if the instructions had been followed. Either the prep man has a 2 gallon bucket full of lugnuts, or had a need for a few for his his car, mine are AWOL. The salesman has promised now for 3 weeks to get me some, the last set he sent would have fit a 3500 pickup.
Why are you talking to the salesman? Talk to the service guys and they will find out what the new car prep guy did with the lug nuts while you are standing there.
