Strange noise

I notice a strange noise when I put my car in reverse. The car is a 2007with only 8K on it. Any ideas

more description would help. when? as you shift it, or first drive it reverse? is it auto or manual? did you buy it new or used? clunk, whine, growl, etc.? changed differential oil lately, ever?

It's probably rust from not being driven! DRIVE IT Don't save it for the next owner!!! These cars develop more problems from sitting around idle most of the time!!!
