Default Wheels

Have a 2013 GS convert. has the stock chrome wheels for the GS. I like the 5 spoke design which i really want to keep. BUT the barrels are horrible to keep clean, not sure how that very rough finish ever got put into production, obvious the engineer that approved that has never cleaned the inside of a wheel in his live. Is there any wheels out there that is a 5 spoke with a smooth finish on the barrels, not looking to get a bigger wheel, I would like to keep the same size stock tires. Any help out there. Thanks in advance

, I also just bought a second set of black chrome which had black in the barrels. I plan on modifying my OEM to black barrels before they get used again....I plan on swapping my OEM chrome and aftermarket black chrome now and then....will make me think my tires are lasting longer

It's a lot cheaper to have the barrels polished smooth and repainted. If you are gutsy, you could do it yourself on a wheel balancing machine.

The finish on the barrel is a heavy protective paint. Remove it and chrome is underneath...see the above thread.

To be fair though, most people never clean the barrel of a wheel.
