When I'm trying to start the car sometimes the car won't start.
I press the brake or clutch, and press on start.
Then the "ping ping" sound is hearing, and then the display's are going off and on.
There is no message or something on the dashboard..
It's just in a loop.
When I try 60 seconds later the car is starting with no problems
What can be the couse of this?
I tried:
- Added a new fob (same problem)
I'm scared that there becomes a day that the vette won't start anymore
Have you checked the battery? There are several threads about funny things happening if the battery is not fully charged. I would start there especially if the battery is a couple years old.

That's most likely a bad battery or battery cable issue.. I had two cracked batteries within a two year period - these cars are extremely sensitive to voltage irregularities. Each time, I had symptoms just like you but kept thinking it couldn't be the battery because it was fairly new. Check and replace your battery if needed and I bet the problem will be solved.
Is your cell phone plugged into a charger? Try unplugging it and see if the car starts.
Sounds odd, but I had a problem getting my 09 to start, (although there was no beeping). Then I unplugged my cellphone from the charger and no problems starting.
Happened to be watching the Corvette instructional DVD and guess what, they said "Some cell phone chargers can prevent the car from starting". So as long as I plug my phone in AFTER I start my car, no issues.
Just a thought.
When your starting make sure the clutch is pushed hard on the floorboard.
AND, make sure you have pushed it to the floor BEFORE you push the start button.
This was occassionally happening to me, and it had never happened, IF I am sure that I pushed the clutch petal first.
A good test is when it happens again, immediately release the clutch petal, and all of the light sequencing should stop. Then when you press the clutch the 2nd time, you should be able to immediately start your vette.
- The car is from 2006 (a6)
- I checked the connections of the battery, they are not green or something
- I do NOT use a cell phone charger
- I DO push the clutch in to the floor!!! hehe
Some new questions:
- Where is the starter located under the hood?
- Can the steering wheel column lock be the problem on my 2006 car?
(or is this only @ 2005 models
- How can I check is the battery is the problem?
The cell colour is green, normally this is good behaviour.
- The problem is most of the time when the engine is still warm.
With cold engine i've got no problems.

Crank relay? It is in the fuse block under the carpet on the passenger floor. An easy test is to exchange it with the backup light relay. See the owner's manual for the instrument panel fuse block page 420 in my manual.
