For you guys that are in warm/hot climates does a coolant temp of 190 - 210 sound about right for extended driving? I did notice on my recent 1400 mile trip that sometimes going up hills or idling brought the temp close to 220.
I have a 2007 for the past 5 years and that the range mine runs in too. It reaches 220 sometimes with the A/C and idling or going very slow. I would not be concerned.
On summer days, mine typically runs from 201 to 205. If at a stoplight for a minute of so, it may go up to 210-212. Once I get moving, it goes back down. I would say that yours operates in the normal range.

comments please.
on long trips I have seen the temp rise pretty high (to those not previously seen) on steep inclines
I have a 160 stat because of the cow tune and it was so hot last week in NJ (about 100*) that my temp went to 210 in traffic, so i would think with stock stat that would be normal.... went down a little once i drove more....
