To answer your question....there is a 3.5 coax in the dash.

1. Replace the OEM front (door) speakers with a set of 2-way component speakers
2. Replace the OEM rear speakers with a set of 2-way coaxial speakers
3. Add a single 8" or 10" subwoofer in the rear cargo area
4. Disconnect the center dash speaker
5. Power it all with a single 5-channel amp

It will look like this if you use your OEM head unit:
(The AOEM-GM24 in the photo below is just an adapter between your OEM head unit and the aftermarket 5-channel amp)

Thx!

blade screw driver. Pried up levering over
a screw driver handle covered with a
towel.
Glued speaker grille cloth in strips to
the contact surfaces of the grille. Used
3M 77 spray to glue it down. I insulated with
1/4 " foam sheet to the dash under the left side
and removed the dash speaker and used the same foam
to fill the speaker hole.
Used a Velcro strip to wrap the speaker
plug in for the speaker. Used a twistie
to bind the speaker wire. No further rattle.
Main thing is the stereo sounds fantastic
without the center speaker. A must do mod!
