Just curious if this ever happened to anyone else. I got in my 07' vert about a month ago and depressed the brake as normal and started the car, then I attempted to shift the auto into drive and I could not push the shift button to disengage the shifter. No matter how hard I tried I could not press the button and yes, my foot was on the brake. I turned the car off and opened the door and then restarted it but no luck. I turned the car off again and contemplated how I was going to get the car home since I was about 60 miles away. After about 5 minutes of quiet cursing I restarted the car again and I was able to put the shifter in drive like nothing was ever wrong. Another odd thing happened a few weeks before that. I open the door and after I got in realized my FOB was still in the house. The doors are set to auto lock. Gremlins?! Neither event has happened again since.

Until it happens again, don't worry about it. These cars are computer controlled and strange things happen occasionally that are never repeated. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-this-car.html
Never happened again.
I've had our 2009 fail to auto-lock a couple of times, never figured out why.
Ours is set to flash the lights when it locks, so I watch for the flash if I'm concerned about the neighborhood or contents of the car.
