OK so i finally installed my 6000 hid upgrade. This AM first to drive in dark
Is this just a LOOK upgrade or Performance. Lights do not have beam projected down the
Road like the OE. Or did i do something wrong on the install??
Thanks
JB
They're bright for me. take a pic if you can. Sometimes if they're bad they'll still light up but they'll be dim, we'll be able to tell you if they're bad. Did you touch the bulb with your fingers? The grease from the body will burn out the bulb so you have to either use gloves or keeps hands off the bulb part.... post a pic so we can see if it's normal brightness.
My headlights are awesome, and I assume they are original. What are you trying to improve with the upgrade? Just curious.
Mine are fine for me too ... plenty bright. On low beam, you get a bright HID light. On high beam, you get the low beam plus halogen high beam.
What they're trying to improve is to put HID on the high beam also. I suppose that would be better, but what we have from the factory is so much improved over the C5 that I'm happy.
There's also a kit to replace the regular bulbs in the fog lights with HID. I'm not sure that would even be desirable in foggy conditions, especially like you and I have fairly frequently here.
I'm also not sure either of the light mods are even legal.

Sounds like you have an aiming problem. Presumably the headlight aim is adjustable?
