When I open the driver's door ('13 coupe) after car sits for a couple of days, the "chime" rings until car is started. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks
yesterday I left my fob in the cup holder, went in the house, came out and the car locked itself.Waited 15-20 minutes and it UNLOCKED itself. FOB stuff is getting OLD.
I move away from the door quickly when exiting, but still get the chime if I:
let the car lock itself, wait a few minutes, and then unlock/open the door and close it again, then return later and unlock/open.

Typical
Service writer was right. The car does not operate that way.
It will not under any circumstance, miraculously un-lock itself.
If you were "locked out" and the door switch didn't work, maybe the switch is dirty/intermittent.
If the car is locked, and the only fob nearby is inside the car, the car won't open.
Try this test, roll down the window, get out and lock the car, then after it's locked reach in and put you fob in the cup holder.
Now try to open a door. Just like 'normal' cars, you can lock your keys inside. Good reason to turn on Fob Reminder.
