Hey ya'll,

Looks like there are multiple issues here! I can help with the dealer visits if you want to reach out to via private message. Let me know your concerns, provide as much detail as possible and if you have spoken to customer care in the past let me know that too. Also include your VIN and mileage. I look forward to helping ya out!

Hey uwec86- No A/C in Florida in the Summer would be AWFUL! Gotta get you fixed up.

VERY nice post, Kelly.

uwec86, you should jump on this personal offer!

I almost wish I could think of some issue so I could contact Kelly. But mine seems fine, and my local dealer, Mac Haik, has just been stellar in every regard. So, I am in the category with Grand Sport Man, as I too take my Suburban to my dealer, and get the same excellent service.

My 13 GS has now been in the shop with my AC issue since the 22nd (that's 10 days for those of you keeping score at home.) Add the two days it was in the shop for the same issue and we're up to 12 days…three more and the Florida lemon law kicks in. This really sucks!

2013 GS vert. Bad wheel vibration at delivery. It took the dealer two days and 8 tires to resolve it. Horrible fit of carpet inside vert top housing. One inch gaps where carpet was "sized" around seat brackets. Car still runs a bit hot - oil temps as high as 252 but mostly at 232. Headliner already has a hole in it due to rubbing against the vert top mechanism.
3200 miles so far and I still love my car. Fit and finish is not even close to my Audi A6 but I don't care. The Vette has a huge fun factor!

14,000 trouble-free miles on my 2012 GS...other than the 'my GY tires suck, and only lasted 12,000 miles", oh, and the 'my car STINKS after I get an oil change', and, oh the 'my alignment sucks, so I got the Pfadt street alignment', but other than that, it's been great.

No regrets here. Love the car!

With under 3k miles on my 2010 GS, my fuel pump died. Took the dealer over a month to fix.
Around 5k miles, my front tires needed replacing.
And now at 13k, my emergency trunk key does not open the trunk once the battery go dead and dealer still does not knw why or how. The list is starting to pile up but I love the car and will never give it up.

Because we won't give it up and love our cars they have no incentive to get these gremlins fixed.

I love my car, but like women, stocks and boats you gotta know when to hold and when to fold. If my car hits the lemon law days off road it's ADIOS!!

My base 2012 had the rear hatch misaligned from the factory. Started the belt chirp at 30 miles, replaced belts. At 65 miles battery failed and was replaced. At 7,000 miles the harmonic balancer failed. And now at 9,200 miles it makes a new noise in the rear differential that goes away when the clutch is engaged. Maybe the throw out bearing...oh and the harmonic balancer is starting to wobble again.

And all this in the first 8 months.

I have a 2013 and have had no problems. I don't see a correlation between the model years you mention and an increased number of problems in the posts that I read on this forum. Members complaints of uncomfortable seats and uncooperative Nav's are not "gremlins".

I'm not sure I understand the point of your last sentence.

2013 GS with 2200 miles, only problem is driver door hinge makes noise when closing and opening and it seems like the door latch needs adjustment. Seems like it sort of "bumps up" when closing. To be honest, I don't trust dealer to fix it right without giving me another problem. I'm holding off taking it in for now. Did a 4 wheel alignment on it at 1000 miles after seeing some tire wear at a private garage. Used the PFADT as a base start but made it 0 toe, and have negative camber down as close to 0 as possible. Rides and tracks straight and tire ware seems good. Have mild to wild, 1-4 skip shift eliminator, and PCV oil catch can. No complaints, love the car.

Update:
The 13 GS I purchased 145 days ago has been in the shop for 27 days for the Climate Control issue. I replaced the Nav Radio with an Alpine which Chevy wants me to leave out of the car for the next five days so we can see if the fix worked (“final” fix: replace the roller system). I’m driving my car around with a HUGE hole in the dash, pry marks below the ashtray and buttons that have too much play in them. After five days, if the AC is working, I get to give them the car for at least another day to put the radio back in and fix the trim pieces. This has not been a fun experience but what should I expect from Obama Motors. I was hoping the company would be doing better after screwing the bond holders and giving the company to the union, I guess not.
