2012 GS with 8K miles. Had 1st steering rack fail at 4K miles and replaced by local Chevy Dealer with no problems (except the fact that replacement steering rack was remanufactured). Today driving slowly in a parking lot felt steering click while turning wheels slightly to the left and right. Back to Chevy next week for them to check it out. I believe that someone previously mentioned a possible TSB on this. Hope Chevy's supplier has found a fix for this.
Have the same low speed clicking on my '12 GS. Very annoying. It has been that way since day one. Was hopeing it was normal. Maybe its time for a trip to the dealer.
I want to see if there are any open service related announcement for ya'lls steering racks. PM your VIN's and reference this thread. Keep me posted on your dealership visits too,
Kelly J.

I also started a thread on this a few months back. The document the dealer needs to look for is: Document ID: 2912839
It is not a TSB, but is a document explaining the problem and the solution. My 427 had this occur for some reason when I picked it up from my first oil change at 3000 miles. They first changed the steering column which did not fix the problem. They made a few calls and were informed of this service document. New steering gear was installed and all has been well since. Hope this helps. Anyone needing a copy of the actual document can PM me with their email address and I will send the document to you.
