2013 Vert Question
Lame newb question: What is the purpose of the fabric 'shield' that covers the back of the boot when the top is up? If this was in a Coupe, I'd call it a security cover or privacy cover, but this thing doesn't really have a purpose, unless it's a shield for the inside of the back window, maybe to protect the window heat wiring. Inquiring minds want to know...

I guess I never really gave much thought to it...just assumed it was a dust cover for the tonneau cover. In the C5, it was much looser and just laid softly on the tonneau cover. However, on the C6, it seems like its stretched more taut.
