This may sound petty, but if you can afford a ZR1, I would think paying for carfax would be peanuts.
You can also call any reputable chevy dealership, and they can run the vehicle history for you, all they need is the VIN.

You should Google this vin !! I would also run it thru any chevy dealer service computer and have it checked as well. The below was shown on google but there was also an item showing it for sale in Indiana. Could be conflicting info but check this car out good before you make an offer.

OP did you realize it says FOR PARTS ONLY!!! This was SEVERELY DAMAGED in sandy and is being sold for parts, current bid 29k, FOR PARTS!!! It also says "FL CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION FOR EXPORT ONLY. US CUSTOMERS – PARTS ONLY. NO TITLE."
