Default New model Michelin tire availability

Here is the response I got from an inquiry I sent to Michelin:

In regards to the email you sent stating:
---------------------------------------------------------------------

when will the new tire for the 2014 C7 Corvette be available for those of us with C6 Corvettes?

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The part number for the Front is 69693 and the Rear is 10332.

The launch date to be able to order them is September 1st.

Thanks for your return email and have a great weekend!

Hey thanks. I wonder what the price will be and what the wear factor will be with them. For all we know they could be toast at 10k miles like the Grand Sport Goodyears. It will be interesting following the C7 section once some of those cars get some miles on them.

That could happen.
I'm more worried that since they are made for the base Stingray; they will be quiet and soft riding, give good fuel economy, and last a long time. But not any grippier than the current PS2 runflats.
After all, these will be base tires on the base car.

We should know within a year!

I don't think the September 1 date to be able to order held up but thought some of you might want to explore this further.
