534 miles
I have 534 miles in my 2012 GS I bought 4 months ago as a left over.
Started it today and the service traction and active handling lights came on. Then the engine light came on. What is up with that?

Dang, I have 2300 miles on my 12 GS and today on the highway my service active handling message came on. Do a search of C6 Technical and you'll find a major thread on this issue. Could be a battery, cylinder firing/spark plug, a steering column connection, or a computer issue to name a few. Did the messages go off when you recycled the inition? Are you having any of the brakes lock up unexpectedly?
I am gonna take mine into the dealer for a check.
Good luck.

In most cases, low mileage (read as driven only on occasion with sustained periods of not driven at all) problems such as with your Vette usually are associated with the battery (low output)...plays havoc with Vette electrics (particularly the on-board BCM and ECU)

I had the same thing happen on my 2013 GS with 300 miles. It was a loose spark plug/coil wire. Seems to be a common problem. Also had to replace a blinking HVAC display. I hope this isn't a preview of things to come. My 2007 Z06 had no problems at all.

Volt meter shows battery has14.5 volts when running.
If battery is bad its probably because the car sat for 1 tear before I bought it.
As for driving it more, I work everyday, in a mall, and I will not bring it there.
I try to enjoy it when I can.

The battery probably died many times before you bought it. Unfortunately, after they die, these batteries never fully recover.
You could try to salvage more life out it. But I wouldn't bother. Just go get a new battery and call it a day.
And definitely get a good battery maintainer (CTEK, Battery Tender, etc). Longer battery life and peace-of-mind.
Then drive as little or as much as you want.

Possible-But-Unlikely: Maybe there are other problems that triggered your warning messages.
So I think you should get your dealer involved while you're under warranty. Anyway, they can read the codes & clear your messages.
And talk with your Service Manager. You're concerned... you don't want to be stranded with a dead battery.
I bet he knows that installing a new battery is an easy diagnostic method. Much better than chasing their tail, troubleshooting phantom problems.
So you might get a new battery on-the-spot. Or at least I think they should pro-rate the cost.
Let us know what happens.

I drive down to Houston from Dallas three or four times a year to have lunch with a particular client. I come back the same day. Round trip is 500 miles. Fun drive if you stay off I-45.

For those of you that say drive it. I got the service A/H ABS and T/C at 64 miles on my 2012 GS. Dealer replaced wheel hub. What say you?

Sounds like what happens when battery gets low. Refresh yourself on how to get out of the car when electric doors don't work (lever on left door sill near your left foot) and how to get in car if door won't open from outside (key in back of car and then the manual door unlock from hatch). I've known some owners who get panicked when doors don't work because they never read the manual.

I'd recommend you put a new battery in it. Probably could use one anyway as much as it sat before you got it and since.
And get a good tender for when you leave it sitting for more than 3 - 4 weeks at a time.
