The DVD slot is for the Nav DVD only, and will only play the NAV disc. You cannot play a movie on this OEM system.
Well Double D mods is correct the Lockpic is no longer available
from Coastaletech
I understand that there is someplace you can send your unit and have it modified but it starts running about as much as the newer units from DD
Yes, be sure to put a movie playing unit in your Vette so you can watch movies instead of texting while you're driving.
Ya think maybe thats why it wont? I have heard it is the same unit as SUVs and.you can plug on another screen and reprogram it. Seems like after market would be cheaper and better though. I know I think mine sucks.
If you saw the you tube video of the Lockpick 360 which is no longer available it would be discouraging to see what you can't get anymore and how well it did a lot of things. without loosing some things that the current aftermarket stuff looses.
Sorry I don't think you should have to spend $1100 to $1400 to get a back up camera and a DVD player. I guess the good news is that the Kenwood unit uses the Garmin system for navigation.
I was told by the producer of the Corvette Lockpick that it was too expensive to produce. It sold in the $300 dollar range and I know several people who installed it themselves and loved it.
Just my 2 Cents

what they also failed to tell you about the Lockpick 360 is all the troubles they had with them and them not working.
If we sold 10 of them 8 would come back with problems. This si why they stopped making them
Double D do you do the mod for 03 to 07 Silverado trucks? I want to upgrade that but it's 1.5 D also. I am looking at the options for my C5 but there are so many on your site and choosing is tough. It wont be out much for the winter so I have time.
