Default Thinking of getting a GM shift ***** (ball)

Thinking of getting the official GM shift **** (the one that looks like a ball) and wondering what color to get. I have a CRM GS with ebony interior.

I like the white ball with black logos, but not sure how that will look. My interior is ebony and since my car is CRM I thought maybe a black ball with red letters might look better

Let me know what you guys think

My vote goes to black with red letters. I think the white one would stand out too much.

How about carbon fiber to match the console?

I didn't think about that.....carbon fibre might be the answer. Who makes/sells them and are they made by GM

I have a Crystal Red car and went with the black ball with white letters. It matches the rest of the white lettering around the dash. I actually ordered red lettering, but they screwed up and sent me white letters instead and after I installed it, I'm glad they did.

I installed the black ball with white letering and like it fine.
I've had an issue with the set screw loosening and the shifter ball rattling - have had to re-tighten st screw several times.

I am considering using Loctite on the set screw.

If you haven't driven a car with one do so if you can. I had a white one in my car but found it was too slippery and too large. I went back to stock. I liked the look but driving with it wasn't good.

I've tried many.. And nothing seems as comfortable, or as easy to shift, as the original. I say stick with the GM units..

Thanks guys! You've saved me $50+, as I was considering one of these myself.

However, after seeing your comments, I'll stick with stock, and save the money for hookers.

I might do the same

I had a couple of older f-car and stock they come with a ball and from what I remember I loved the look and feel. That's why I thought about changing my shift ****.

I've had a MOMO chrome shift ball for years. I see no need for a shift pattern on the ball and I seriously don't understand how someone thinks the factory **** is better than something that greatly lowers the shift points. A ball is perfect. But whatever.
